To transfer WHM backup to a remote destination via FTP, follow the steps-

  1. Log into WHM.
  2. Select the “Backup” option and click on the “Backup Configuration” sub-option.

  4. Select the “Additional Destination” tab.

  5. Using the drop-down menu, select “FTP” as the destination type and hit the “Create New Destination” button.

  6. A new screen will appear where you will have to fill up the details of the remote destination.

  7. Click on the button “Save and Validate Destination” button.

  8. Click on the “Save Configuration” button after validation.
  9. Verify the functionality of the transfer by manually initiating the backup process.
  10. Execute the following command to run the backup manually-
    /usr/local/cpanel/bin/backup  –force
  11. Upon completion, a new log file will be generated, providing you with a means to confirm the integrity of both the backup and transfer processes.
