WHM’s Generators Configuration controls which website-statistics programs cPanel accounts can use and which are active by default. It is part of Statistics Software Configuration.
Set the generator options
- Sign in to WHM and open Server Configuration > Statistics Software Configuration.
- Find Generators Configuration.
- For each required program, such as AWStats, review the two settings:
- Available to Users allows eligible users to select the program.
- Active by Default sets the default for accounts.
- Enable only the programs you intend to provide.
- Leave Allow Awstats configuration Include file unchanged unless you specifically need user-supplied AWStats configuration. It is not required merely to enable AWStats.
- Save the settings.
Confirm user access
Users may also need permission to choose their statistics software and to enable it through cPanel > Metrics > Metrics Editor. Check the relevant user-permission settings if a program is unavailable.
Statistics appear after the scheduled log-processing run; changing the generator settings does not immediately produce a new report.
