June 10, 2023 / cPanel & WHM
In certain cases, you may need to configure an additional SMTP port for email authentication. This new port will support both STARTTLS and plain text authentication methods, offering more flexibility in email delivery.

Procedure:

  1. Log in to WHM.
  2. Navigate to the “Service Configuration” section and click on the “Service Manager” option. service manager
  3. Find the option Exim Mail Server (on another port) and enable it by selecting the corresponding radio button.
  4. Enter a custom SMTP port that is not 25, 465, or 587, such as 262525, or 588, if you require an additional listening port for SMTP authentication. Standard SMTP ports 25465, and 587 are already handled by Exim and do not need to be configured in this field.  exim mail server
