April 21, 2025 / SSL

This guide will teach you how to install an SSL certificate on your domain using AutoSLL. Typically, cPanel installs it within a few hours; however, if it has not been installed after 24 hours, follow the steps below to troubleshoot and manually trigger AutoSSL.

Let us follow the steps:

1) Check AutoSSL Logs:

  1. Log in to cPanel.
  2. Select the “SSL/TLS Status” sub-option under the “Security” tool.

  3. You will enter a new page, find the “Certificate Status” as shown below.

  4. Review the AutoSSL log:
    1. If errors are listed, try resolving them or contact support with the details.
    2. If no errors appear, your domain may not have been included in the automatic check.

2) Manually Run AutoSSL:

  1. Log in to your cPanel account.
  2. Navigate to the “Security” section and click “SSL/TLS Status.”
  3. Click the “Run AutoSSL” button.
    Run AutoSSL

3) Review the Result:

  1. If successful, the SSL certificate should be installed within a few hours.
  2. If an error message appears, review it and share the message with support so they can assist.
Note: SSL installation via AutoSSL is fully automated, but domain verification and installation may take up to 24 hours.
