This guide will teach you how to install an SSL certificate on your domain using AutoSLL. Typically, cPanel installs it within a few hours; however, if it has not been installed after 24 hours, follow the steps below to troubleshoot and manually trigger AutoSSL.
Let us follow the steps:
1) Check AutoSSL Logs:
- Log in to cPanel.
- Select the “SSL/TLS Status” sub-option under the “Security” tool.
- You will enter a new page, find the “Certificate Status” as shown below.
- Review the AutoSSL log:
- If errors are listed, try resolving them or contact support with the details.
- If no errors appear, your domain may not have been included in the automatic check.
2) Manually Run AutoSSL:
- Log in to your cPanel account.
- Navigate to the “Security” section and click “SSL/TLS Status.”
- Click the “Run AutoSSL” button.
3) Review the Result:
- If successful, the SSL certificate should be installed within a few hours.
- If an error message appears, review it and share the message with support so they can assist.
Note: SSL installation via AutoSSL is fully automated, but domain verification and installation may take up to 24 hours.
