This guide explains how to delete custom error pages in cPanel. When you generate a custom error page in cPanel, it automatically generates a file named error_number.shtml in the primary document directory of the associated domain. You have the option to remove this file using the cPanel File Manager.
Follow the steps-
- Log in to cPanel.
- Select the “Files” section and click on the “File Manager” sub-option.
- Find the document root directory (public_html) of the domain where you have established the customised error page.
- Remove the corresponding file associated with the error number. For instance, if you have set up a custom error page for the 404 Not Found error, delete the file named 404.shtml.
This way, you can delete custom error pages in cPanel. Hope you liked our article. For more such informative articles, visit our KB section.
