You may wish the accounts on your server that do not have dedicated IP addresses to share an IP address different than the server’s main IP address in various instances. WHM allows you to modify the main shared IP to any of your server’s existing IP addresses.
When you create cPanel accounts in the future, the new address will be utilised. Existing shared hosting accounts are not migrated when the IP address is changed.

- Log in to WHM.
- From the left-hand side of the screen, select the “Server Configuration” option.
- Click on the “Basic WebHost Manager Setup”. Here you will find three tabs. Namely, “All”, “Contact Information”, “Basic Config”.
- Select the “Basic Config” option and type the new IP address.
- Finally scroll down and hit the “Save” button. Just the shared IP for the server’s accounts can be modified.
You can change the main shared IP address to any of your server’s existing IP addresses in this manner.
