How To Manage PostgreSQL Databases Users in cPanel

Create a Database User

  1. Log into “cPanel Account”.
    Log in to cPanel
  2. Find “Database”, and click on “PostgreSQL Databases”.

    1. “Add New User”, in the Username text box, type the PostgreSQL username.
    2. In the Password text box, type the “Password”.
    3. In the Password (Again) text box, retype the “Password”.
    4. Click on “Create User”.PostgreSQL username.

Change a user’s password

You can change a database user’s password at any time. You might need to do this if you forget the password or you might want to update it for security reasons (changing passwords regularly is a smart security practice).

Follow these steps to change a user’s password:

  1. Login to “cPanel Account”.
  2. Search “Database”, and click on the “PostgreSQL Databases”.
  3. Under Current Users section, you need to locate the user for which you want to change the password, and then click  on Change Password”.Change Password
  4. Enter the Password, type the “New Password”, and click on “Change Password”.

  1. Login to “cPanel”.
  2. Select “Database”, and click on the “PostgreSQL Databases”.
  3. Select the user that you want to rename under Current Users”, and then click Rename”

  6. Click on “Ok”.

Delete a user


Follow these steps to delete a PostgreSQL user account:

  1. Login to “cPanel Account”.
  2. Select “Database”, and click on the “PostgreSQL Databases”.
  3. Under the “Current Users” section, select the user that you want to delete, and click “Delete”.Delete
