How to trace a process using process manager in WHM

This tutorial will explain to you how to trace a process using a process manager in WHM. The process manager helps you to find the process ID (Pid), owner, priority, CPU %, memory, and command of the respective process. To access the process manager one must have root access.

Follow the steps below:

  1. Log in to WHM.

  2. Type “System Health” in the search box available at the top left-hand side of the screen.

  3. You’ll see a list of alternatives; select “Process Manager” from the list.

  4. You’ll now be sent to the “Process Manager” page.
  5. “Pid,” “owner,” “Priority,” “CPU%,” “Memory%,” and “Command” will appear in a tabular style.

  6. To trace an active process, click on the “Trace” next to the ID.

  7. The PID of the process you’re tracing will appear first on the trace’s display as shown in the screenshot given below.
