This tutorial will explain to you how to trace a process using a process manager in WHM. The process manager helps you to find the process ID (Pid), owner, priority, CPU %, memory, and command of the respective process. To access the process manager one must have root access.
Follow the steps below:
- Log in to WHM.
- Type “System Health” in the search box available at the top left-hand side of the screen.
- You’ll see a list of alternatives; select “Process Manager” from the list.
- You’ll now be sent to the “Process Manager” page.
- “Pid,” “owner,” “Priority,” “CPU%,” “Memory%,” and “Command” will appear in a tabular style.
- To trace an active process, click on the “Trace” next to the ID.
- The PID of the process you’re tracing will appear first on the trace’s display as shown in the screenshot given below.
