How to Retrieve a CSR from cPanel

This article explains how to retrieve a CSR from cPanel. If you have generated a Certificate Signing Request (CSR) from cPanel but misplaced it, don’t worry—you can retrieve it.

Note: This guide applies only if a CSR was previously generated in cPanel.

 

Steps to Retrieve a CSR:

  1. Log in to your cPanel Account.
  2. In the Security section, click on “SSL/TLS.”

  3. Under the Certificate Signing Request section, click Generate, View, or Delete CSR.

  4. Under the Certificate Signing Requests on the Server section, find the list of previously generated CSRs.
  5. Click on “Edit” under the “Action” column next to the desired CSR.

  6. Copy the CSR Code:
    Locate the Encoded CSR section and copy the CSR code. Be sure to copy everything from:
    —–BEGIN CERTIFICATE REQUEST—–
    to
    —–END CERTIFICATE REQUEST—–
    CSR
