This article explains how to retrieve a CSR from cPanel. If you have generated a Certificate Signing Request (CSR) from cPanel but misplaced it, don’t worry—you can retrieve it.
Note: This guide applies only if a CSR was previously generated in cPanel.
Steps to Retrieve a CSR:
- Log in to your cPanel Account.
- In the Security section, click on “SSL/TLS.”
- Under the Certificate Signing Request section, click Generate, View, or Delete CSR.
- Under the Certificate Signing Requests on the Server section, find the list of previously generated CSRs.
- Click on “Edit” under the “Action” column next to the desired CSR.
- Copy the CSR Code:
Locate the Encoded CSR section and copy the CSR code. Be sure to copy everything from:

to
—–END CERTIFICATE REQUEST—–
