How to remove files from a cPanel Backup

  1. Open the cPanel account and log in.
  2. Click on the “Files” menu.
  3. From the menu on the left side of the screen, select “File Manager.”

  5. The “+file” option, located on the upper left portion of the screen, allows you to start a new file.

  6. As the “New File Name,” type “cpbackup-exclude.conf.”
  7. Type in the path to be used for the newly created file.
  8. Select the “Create New File” menu item.

  9. You will discover that the file has been generated.

  10. After choosing the recently generated file, do a right-click and choose “Edit.”
  11. Paste the code into the file after copying it.

  12. Select “Save Changes” from the menu.

  13. These files and folders will be removed for all users by the backup system.
