WHM’s NGINX Manager installs cPanel’s supported reverse-proxy and caching service. It changes how web traffic reaches Apache, so review compatibility and caching requirements before installation.

Check requirements

You need root access and EasyApache 4. Review the installed web stack, security modules and applications against cPanel’s NGINX limitations. Back up the configuration and plan a maintenance window.

Installation assigns the primary web ports to NGINX and changes Apache’s listening ports. Do not install a separate generic NGINX package over this managed configuration.

Install through WHM

  1. Open Software > NGINX Manager.
  2. Click Install.
  3. Wait for installation and check the result.
  4. Review System Settings and User Settings, including the intended cache behaviour.

Test websites and caching

Check normal pages, HTTPS, logins, administration, checkout and dynamic responses. Verify that private or user-specific pages are not served from an inappropriate shared cache.

Monitor logs and application behaviour. Enabling a caching proxy does not guarantee every website becomes faster or remains compatible without configuration changes.
