This guide explains the process of detaching and rescanning WordPress instances in Plesk. If a WordPress installation is visible in WP Toolkit but does not appear in the domain panel, follow the guide below.
Detach a WordPress Instance in Plesk:
- Log in to Plesk.
- Go to “WordPress” under the left sidebar menu.
- Find the WordPress instance you want to detach.
- Click on the three-dot menu (?) next to the instance.
- Select “Detach” to remove it from Plesk’s management. This will not delete the website, but it will no longer be managed via Plesk’s WordPress Toolkit.
Scan for WordPress Instances in Plesk
If you have added a new WordPress site manually or want to reattach a detached instance:
- Go to the “WordPress” Toolkit in Plesk.
- Click on “Scan” (usually at the top of the page).
- Plesk will search for all WordPress installations and add them to the WordPress Toolkit.
- Once detected, you can manage them again.
This process helps in reattaching WordPress sites or ensuring Plesk recognizes all WordPress instances on the server. Let us know if you need further clarification!
