WHM has a default bandwidth allowance for new packages created by users without the unlimited-bandwidth package privilege. You can adjust this starting value to match your approved hosting-package policy.
Change the default
- Open WHM > Server Configuration > Tweak Settings.
- Select Packages and find Default bandwidth limit for new packages.
- Choose the custom value and enter the required allowance in the units shown by the interface, normally MB.
- Click Save.
- Check the allowance when creating the next applicable package, and confirm the package’s final value before assigning it to accounts.

This is a data-transfer allowance, not the connection’s speed. It does not rewrite every existing package or account. Enforcement and notifications depend on the server’s other bandwidth settings.
