This guide explains how to add an IPv6 range via WHM. You should define the range before head assigning individual IPv6 addresses to users. A range of addresses is also known as a cluster of IPv6 addresses. You can use WHM to to add, edit, and delete the ranges.
Make a note of one thing, your server should be configured for IPv6 before you attempt to add them.
Let us follow the steps:
- Log in to WHM.
- Find the “IP Functions” option from the left-hand side menu.
- Click on the “IPv6 Ranges” sub-option.
- Click on the “Add range” button.
- Enter the name for the range.
Note- The range should be a shortened IPv6 address that ends with a slash (/), followed by a number, which indicates the network portion of the IPv6 address range. - Then select any one option out of the two available.
A. Available- Addresses can be assigned.
B. Reserved- Addresses cannot be assigned.
- Add a note for the range under “Range Notes”.
- Finally, click on the “Add Range” button.
