  5. Utilise an FTP client such as FileZilla to connect to your website’s files.
  6. Within the FTP client, locate the “wp-content/themes” directory for themes or the “wp-content/plugins” directory for plugins.
  7. Remove the outdated version of the theme or plugin from the website’s files.
  8. Through the FTP client, transfer and upload the latest version of the theme or plugin to the website’s files.
  9. After successfully uploading the new version, return to the WordPress dashboard and activate the theme or plugin.
