Choose your VPS management model

For some customers, that means full root access and complete server responsibility. For others, it means a more structured and lower-maintenance setup. With Enhance, we offer a fully managed VPS model for teams that want dedicated resources without ongoing low-level server administration.

A different approach to VPS management

With Enhance, the underlying operating system, security patching and core platform services are maintained as part of the service. You retain control of your websites and applications without needing to manage low-level server configuration.

Consistent management

A structured system ensures all deployments stay consistent. This makes it easier to manage multiple projects or clients.

Single cloud interface

All servers are controlled from one cloud dashboard. A lightweight agent keeps resource usage minimal and management simple.

Designed for growing and business-critical environments

A VPS is suited to projects that require consistent resources, greater control and the ability to scale beyond shared hosting without moving straight to dedicated servers. Your VPS runs on UK infrastructure designed for dependable performance, with:

  • Your server runs in a secure, professionally managed environment designed for stability and reliability.
  • Redundant power and cooling to reduce the risk of downtime
  • Multiple network connections for consistent connectivity
  • 24x7 monitoring and on site engineering teams
  • Controlled physical access and CCTV throughout the facility

Advanced backup and recovery

All VPS plans include 3 days of snapshots for disaster recovery. If you need file-level backup and recovery for critical data, Acronis Backup is available as an optional paid add-on.

Protect your data and recover with confidence using Acronis Backup. Your backups are stored off-site in a UK datacentre and encrypted during transfer, with optional encryption for stored backups. Immutable storage helps protect backup copies from being changed or deleted in the event of a ransomware incident, while file-level recovery lets you restore individual files when needed.

You can manage backup frequency and retention yourself, or ask our team to help set a policy for you. Backups are stored in Acronis cloud storage in a UK datacentre.

What the Acronis Backup add-on includes

  • File-level backup and recovery for critical data
  • Backup frequency and retention you control
  • Self-service or team-assisted setup and recovery
  • UK-based off-site backup storage
  • Encryption during transfer, with optional encryption for stored backups
  • Immutability, protecting backups from ransomware and malicious actors

VPS Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between VPS hosting and shared hosting?

Shared hosting is a good option for many websites that need dependable day-to-day hosting without server-level control. VPS hosting is better suited to projects that need dedicated resources, more flexibility and a clearer path to scale.

What management options are available with your VPS plans?

You can choose a VPS with no control panel, a cPanel or Plesk VPS, or an Enhance VPS. The right option depends on how much control you want to retain and how much server management you want included.

What is Enhance VPS?

Enhance VPS is a centrally managed VPS model where operating system updates, security patching and core platform services are maintained as part of the service. It is designed to reduce administrative overhead while still giving you control over websites and applications.

Do I get root access with VPS hosting?

Yes, root access is available on no-control-panel VPS and cPanel or Plesk VPS options. Enhance VPS does not provide root access because the platform is managed as part of the service.

Can you help me move from another provider?

Yes. If you are moving from another provider, we can plan the migration with you and help make sure everything is working as expected before the site goes live.

Is VPS hosting fully managed?

That depends on the management model you choose. No-control-panel VPS gives you full responsibility for server management. cPanel or Plesk VPS can include optional management under agreement. Enhance VPS is the fully managed option.

What is the difference between snapshots and Acronis Backup?

Snapshots are restore points for your VPS. They help you return the whole server to an earlier state if something goes wrong. All our VPS plans include snapshots kept for three days. Acronis Backup is an optional paid add-on that stores separate backup copies off-site in a UK datacentre. It lets you recover individual files and choose how often backups run and how long they’re kept. Snapshots are useful when you need to roll back your server. Acronis gives you off-site copies and more control over your recovery options. If you’re unsure which protection you need, our team can help.

Which VPS management model is right for me?

Choose no control panel if you want full root access and complete server responsibility. Choose cPanel or Plesk if you want a familiar control environment with optional management available. Choose Enhance if you want dedicated resources with a fully managed platform and lower administrative overhead.

Can I run multiple websites on a VPS?

Yes. VPS hosting can support multiple websites, especially where you need more dedicated resources, greater flexibility or cleaner separation than shared hosting is designed to provide.

Is Windows VPS still available?

Yes. Windows is still available with our VPS plans. It is now selected as an operating system option during checkout rather than being presented as a separate Windows VPS product page.

Can I choose a VPS for Windows-based applications such as .NET or MSSQL?

Yes. If you need a VPS for a Windows-based application stack, including .NET or MSSQL environments, we can help you choose the right setup. The best option will depend on the application requirements, the operating system version you need and how much server management you want included.

Which Windows Server versions are available?

The available Windows Server options are shown during configuration. If your application needs a particular version, contact our team before ordering so we can confirm a suitable setup.
