The Exchange servers are part of most business and school networks. These servers manage all Microsoft Outlook accounts, including email and calendars. Sometimes, Exchange servers are stand-alone servers, while other networks are small enough to allow Exchange to run on an existing server. Exchange servers work with the existing servers on your network to provide a central access point for all things Outlook.
Step 1 :- The most important procedure we need to follow is to start the setup which appear in the windows and click “Setup.exe.”
Step 2 :- Install all the required stuff by clicking on the black links which are listed in order with in the setup screen. If any steps are grayed out and listed as “Installed,” you are ready to proceed to the next step. The installation procedure completely include application such as Microsoft Command Shell, .Net Framework 2.0, Microsoft Management Console, Microsoft Exchange and crucial updates.
Step 3 :- A user has to Install the Exchange by going through the step 4 with in the setup as soon as you got the components are installed except the critical updates.
Step 4 :- That Enable the “Error Reporting” after clicking on the “Yes” button in the procedure. This provides Microsoft with a way of seeing exactly what errors Exchange may cause.
Step 5 :- We have to find the process of installation a user wants. The options completely include typical and custom control over the installation.
Step 6 :- Then we have to choose the hosting server roles you want to install if you chose Custom in Step 5, and click “Next.”
Step 7 :- Provide the organization name if you are setting up a new organization. If you are simply joining an existing Exchange organization, this will be detected automatically. Existing Exchange organizations will also require you to select the existing Exchange server to connect to.
Step 8 :- Choose whether any clients are running Outlook 2003 on your network.
Step 9 :- We have to wait for the setup process to get completyed, where as the readiness checks and update each role he chose to install. If all the requisit are completed, the “Install” button will become available to be checked. If any of the prerequisites doesn’t get completed which can perform multiple steps that the wizard says are required for installation.
Step 10 :- Click “Install” and allow installation to complete.
Step 11 :- Install the critical updates you have with the updates to completely finish the steps on the setup window.
