If your domain was being looked after by someone else or they were holding it in their account, and you no longer have contact with that person, you may feel like you’ve lost control. There are a few ways you can get it back, as shown below.

Contact them and request it to be transferred

Contact the person who has your domain and ask them to submit a transfer request. You will need them to do the following:

  1. Log into their account, if they are having trouble do this, see https://www.webhosting.uk.com/kb/i-have-forgotten-my-client-area-login-details/
  2. Request a domain transfer, to do this they need to go to support (Shown on the left-hand side of the screen) and select manage support tickets then click submit ticket.
  3. Choose the option feedback > my domains > select the domain in question and set the ticket type to “Billing Query
  4. You will then just need to let us know that you want to transfer the domain to another client, we will need the other clients phone number so we can call them and get them ready for the transfer.
Once you have submitted this you will just need to wait for us to confirm we have received your request and when we make any changes you will receive updates.

Contact us and ask us to contact them

Here you would give us a call on 0800 862 0890 and ask us to give the client a call, we will need to know the domain name, clients name and contact details, if we cannot make contact we can proceed with another of the 3 ways in which we can transfer domains so don’t worry!
