To change PHP version, follow the steps below:

STEP 1: Login to your cPanel account.

STEP 2: Click the Select PHP Version below the Software and Services section.

STEP 3: Here you can see the list of available modules and extensions.

If you don’t have to change PHP version and simply need to turn on/off specific extensions, you can do this by checking/unchecking the corresponding boxes.

Work with PHP Version drop-down box to choose the required version, click on Set as current so as to apply the changes.

NOTE: The “native” PHP version would not allow changing any options.

STEP 4: Click on Switch to PHP Settings to change individual settings within PHP version in question.

By clicking on one of many options (in grey), it can be offered with a drop-down list to change particular settings. Press Apply to implement/change the settings:

NOTE 1: It is suggested to update your website scripts and use PHP 5.4. If the most recent software you are running for your websites aren’t however compiled for PHP 5.4, be recommended to contact script vendor for compatibility patch.

NOTE 2: In case you are using php.ini file to edit your account PHP configuration, before you will have to repeat the custom values by using PHP Selector tool.
