How to use a FTP program?

You will first need to create a FTP account. Your host will generally provide this to you or you could easily create one from the control panel they provided you. Once the account is created you open your favorite FTP client and enter the follow details:

Hostname: This will be your server name or server IP
Username: Your FTP account username

Password: Your FTP account password
Port: 21 (this is generally the port for FTP)

You will now be connected to your web space and easily upload files from your computer 🙂
