While some companies may claim to offer 24×7 technical support, their staff may not be working 24 hours a day and so, it really isn’t 24×7 technical support and you’re rather relying on such a provider to be available during late hours.
Webhosting UK has sales and support staff working 24×7, including system administrators for our Cloud Hosting, VPS Hosting and Dedicated Hosting customers to ensure our customers get prompt responses and in the event of any issues with our network.
Are your Cloud, VPS and Dedicated Server products fully managed?
Yes. Our managed technical support is included in the price you pay – whether that’s Shared Web Hosting, Reseller Web Hosting, Dedicated Servers, VPS Hosting or Cloud Hosting. Whether you require your server to be configured for PCI compliance or you need your new server hardened from a security perspective, we’ll be happy to help.
How long does it usually take for the support team to respond to tickets?
It depends entirely on the nature of the ticket. For tickets that require the attention of our senior system administrators, it will take slightly longer for a response than a response for Level I and Level II tickets primarily because many issues that require the attention of our senior system administrators usually take longer to resolve by their nature.
Our technicians usually respond to most Level II and Level I support tickets within the hour they are submitted.
What areas do you not cover for technical support?
We endeavour to assist customers even if the particular case is outside of our merit, however we cannot generally assist on your own applications and any issues that may be caused by them as a result of syntax errors or other issues not specifically as a result of our servers, our server configurations or anything else that may not have been directly or indirectly caused by us. For any issues relating to your PHP scripts, you can ask on our Web Hosting Forum where other customers may be able to assist you on. While we endeavour to be as helpful as possible as a web hosting provider, we cannot guarantee any assistance on aspects relating to software you use on your website, your own scripts or applications (or that of others).
How long would it take for my order to be set up by your sales team?
Our sales department operate 24 hours a day. Orders are usually processed by our team within 1 – 3 hours after ordering. Most orders are manually reviewed by our sales team for anti-fraud purposes, which is why our sales department operates all day to ensure orders are processed as quickly as possible.
For Dedicated Hosting orders, it will take slightly longer for your order to be fulfilled because your Dedicated Server will first need to be set up by our data centre engineers after your order has been processed by our sales team and all verification checks have been completed. After ordering, you should expect your Dedicated Server to be set up within 24 to 48 hours.
