  • Installing Wordpress through cPanel

I usually install Wordpress platform for my blogs through cPanel that is using Fantastico. It is really easy. You just need to do a few clicks and you are done.

By the way, is there any difference between installing Wordpress using Fantastico with uploading it using FTP and installing it manually? I notice that the WordPress platform installed using Fantastico is not always the latest version.

If you are installing WP manually, the latest version available on their website will be installed. You will have to create database and assign the path manually. However, if you install in through Fantastico, the database is created automatically. If the cPanel is latest version, it should install the latest version of WP too.

I would not recommend installing WP from fantastico.. it is not the latest version always and you will find difficulties when configuring WP. so if you need a latest version then you should try installing it manually

I would like to recommend installing WP from fantastico..Yes i agree with the fact that their you won't get the latest version always and there is no difficulties while configuring WP. So if you need a latest version then you should try installing it manually or you can also try installing through the fantastico and there is one more option available and update it with in the login panel only....
