  • WordPress Error : ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS from .htaccess

    Hello,

    Here is my .htaccess code:

    Code:
    RewriteEngine on

    RewriteOptions inherit

    RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^Mysite\.org$ [OR]
    RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^www\.Mysite\.org$
    RewriteRule ^/?$ "http\:\/\/Mysite\.org\/en\/" [R=301,L]
When I open Mysite.org, I'm facing this error ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS. My .htaccess file has each time worked until today.
I also upgraded my WordPress version to 4.4.1.

How can I fix this problem?

    Try the following rule:

    Code:
    RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^(www\.)?Mysite\.org$ [NC]
    RewriteCond %{THE_REQUEST} ^[A-Z]{3,}\s/+[?\s]
    RewriteRule ^/?$ /en/ [R=301,L]
Clear your browser cache before testing this.

      Thanks Kelvin. It works!!
The redirect looks a little slow. May possibly it depends on the rule?

No rules don't take any time to perform, it could be some network issue.

Here’s the mail I got recently when I get this problem again

The error messages I get are:

Chrome: "Error 105 (net:ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED): The server could not be found"

IE: "IE cannot display the webpage"

Outlook: "The server name you entered can not be found on the network...Please verify that you are online and that the server name is correct"

I had tried safe mode w/networking before as well, tried again, no change.
