  • How to change WordPress blog URL path

How to change the default URL path for WordPress blog posts by admin account?

Previously the URL structure was something like */blog/post-title*, but now the /blog/ part is disappearing.

    Hi,
Are you asking about the permalinks? Can you please clarify what do you want to achieve?

Can you please check, what is your permalink structure set to under Settings > Permalinks in admin account?

Simply navigate to Settings -> Permalink.

Click on the "Custom Structure" radio button and enter blog/%postname%/ into the text field there, then press save changes button.

        Hope this helps.

Perfect, we had hidden Permalinks from the Settings menu as it wasn't appropriate so this helped me to recognize what to go back and search for. Appreciate the help.

Did you take both domains through the same host ? Do you have an admin panel somewhere to manage your domains ? If so, you need to edit the settings of your new domain to make it point to your hosting server. If you are not sure what the hosting IP is, just check the params of the old domain, and copy past them into the new one. This may take some time once you set it up, up to 48 hours in the baddest cases, to propagate the changes. Once it's done, your new domain will host your wordpress, and your old domain will still point on the same wordpress too, until you stop renewing it or change its Showbox jiofi.local.html tplinklogin settings
