  • Joomla Forum

In the early days after setting up my website on Joomla, I used to visit Joomla forum to learn more about this CMS, fix some problems occurring, and find ideas to customize my website. Do you also take advantage of the forum?

Usually such technical support forums are widely used to get basic issues resolved but may not be suitable for getting much reliable solution for some rugged issues.

Yeah, community discussion boards are very helpful. Forum members are always ready to help us, it's like a give and take policy so just try to share your knowledge and surely you would be getting more out of it.

That's true. It's a community based forum where (Joomla) users help each other to improve the way you runs your website on the CMS, so the give and take policy applies there. You can take nothing if nobody gives, right?

Community forums are nice.. you can keep in touch and know about the new features. Also, helps to have a discussion and interaction with the core / developers team.

That's right Rachel. You reminds me of the core/developer team of Joomla (and other open source CMS). How do they make money as they share most (or all) the products for free?

They do rely on contributions as far as I know. Donations and then also those events that they put up. Their Community forums are an excellent source of help. Very nicely categorized and put up.

I would suggest noting the issues you are having, others can then chime in. I know first hand that sometimes Joomla can be a little tricky.

Yeah, I am also a Joomla user and I know what you are talking about. I think Joomla is like magic. You have know idea how to do something there, or how something works till someone tells you about it, which is often very simple.

That's true. That's why it would be much easier and faster to set your joomla web hosting if you can get someone experienced with the CMS to guide you.
