Migration from shared hosting to VPS hosting

I am not experienced with hosting. I am thinking to migrate my website from shared to VPS hosting or dedicated hosting.
Which one is better in comparison? VPS or dedicated hosting?
How can I transfer my domain without losing my any data (web pages and MySQL database)?

It all depends on the your requirements and the budget. If you are okay with the resources offered on VPS then you may start with it as it would be a cheaper option when compared to a dedicated server.
Your webhost should assist you with the server setup and the data transfer. Please be inform that you will need to update the DNS since IPs will get changed while upgrading from shared to VPS or Dedicated server.

It seems that your business is expanding and you are making a right decision by upgrading the hosting plan which will surely get enhanced once upgraded on VPS or dedicated server. Now talking about the difference between both the servers VPS and Dedicated I'd say both are best options to consider depending upon the amount of resources you wish to have and the budget as my colleagues informed you in earlier thread. I forgot to mention the domain migration process in my last post which now am not able to edit as well, so thought of posting another thread.
Gabreal, I'd like to inform you that if you have the control panel on your new servers same as the one on your old shared hosting our technical support team will completely take care of the data migration process for you. We will keep both the server live until the migration is completed and you confirm everything is working fine on the new server. The time required for the data migration will depend upon the size of the data and we can schedule the data migration as per the best time suitable to you.
