  • Can't find the SQL file after mysqldump

    Hi

    I am not able to find out the backup SQL file even after successful connection using SSH and giving the right credentials.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi,

    I think you should try out the following command on the terminal

    locate myBackup.sql

      It should be in the same directory as when you are about to run this command. You will have to type "pwd" to check the existing path. Then run the following command that is "mysqldump --database --user=root --password your_db_name > export_into_db.sql". This should help you get sorted

        Connect to the remote server and then use the below command to proceed further.

        mysqldump -R -h root -u username -ppassword databasename > /home/Rozanne/databasename.sql;

          Thank you so much for your replies. I have tried the command by Jesse and it has worked for me.
