how to check network status?

I will be pleased if anyone can tell me how to check the network status of my server by using Linux command.

Linux has a function called netstat, If you want to check the network status the follow command will help to check it

List all ports : netstat -a
List all tcp ports : netstat -at
List only listening ports : netstat -l
List only listening TCP Ports : netstat -lt
List only the listening UNIX Ports : netstat -lx
