Just need confirmation from tech support, if we add more resources to existing cloud server will there be any downtime ?
I think 'YES' since if i want to add processing power 'CPU' for my cloud then surely server need to be restarted. How much downtime may occur for such cloud upgrade.?

Hi,

Right. To add more cpu and memory resources on cloud VM, we will have to reboot your VM. It will take 5 minutes only. In case of hard drive upgrade, it may take 1-2 hours.

Cloud servers are very scalable and it provides the customers with easy upgrades. You can easily upgrade your CPU as there will be a downtime of few minutes during the upgrade process.

Yes, you need to pay for AddOn
Yes, you can downgrade at any point of time
