What is the difference between VPC and VPS?

What is the difference between a VPC (Virtual Private Cloud) and a VPS (Virtual Private Server)? I know one uses software technology and the other hardware. Which is which?

If you are referring to the above links/ plans then they both use separate virtualizations. Cloud will offer 100% uptime as it uses multiple servers. Cloud uses Vwmare.

Cloud Servers use VmWare while Linux VPS uses Virtuozzo and Windows VPS uses Hyper-V.
