  • No follow and do follow blogs

Does it still matter to our SEO effort if we set our blog to no-follow or do-follow mode, and if we comment and leave links on no-follow or do-follow blog? I hear a rumor that the Google bot still follows the links with no-follow tags.

IMO if you are blogging for SEO purpose then go with Do-Follow or if you just want to attract traffic then no matter whether it's Do-Follow or No-Follow blog !
Rumors are spread every now and then just to grab world wide attention

I agree with you about what the rumors spread for, they are shouldn't be take seriously.
Well, I asumme that you are talking about commenting on other blogs, which should be do follow blogs for SEO purpose. What about our own blogs? Which are preferable for Google, no follow or do follow blogs?

For Internal links go with DoFollow and for all Outgoing links make then No-Follow....links in blog comments
Internal linkage would be helpful for SERP and page crawl.

Thanks Harry, that's a great idea. I often forget that search engines consider web pages of a website as individual web pages, hence there is no internal link or external link, instead, every link is a backlink.

Not sure about the rumor, I set my blogs to do-follow mode. It's a good way of driving more traffic to your blog and encouraging the visitors to leave comment on your blogs.

That is fine, however, you are actually offering a benefit to all those users who use a link on your blog while commenting and hence the link juice is passed to their sites

I think so. I notice that setting your blogs to do-follow mode will not only attracts genuine visitors but also spammers. The most annoying is the human spams. They do write their own comments but the comments are meaningless.
