  • Which products ans services are best to make online business successful?

    Normal products like Gadgets, Clothes, Shoes etc.. items store competition is very high. I am planning to start new online business which gives me surety of success. So please share your experience & knowledge to suggest me best products and services for online business.

      There are almost all kind of products available online. And if you are new you would have competition everywhere. You should think of products that you can source and have good knowledge about so you would be able to sell those in a better manner and over time would be able to provide a better service than your competitors which would make you stand out of the crowd.

        My friend runs a online store for products like accessories, books, some particular clothes like jackets, hats, Halloween costumes, etc. It works really well. The idea here is to focus on multiple products rather than just one single product. Gadgets are a good idea but be advised that you would need to invest a good amount. If it ever damages in shipment then you will need to bare the costs for it. So you could start with low priced products to begin with and then expand as required.

          You could sell something that is readily available in your city- Unique clothes, accessories, preserved food etc. There are a lot of people out there who would order any unique stuff not available in their own city. You could also deliver stuff on orders. The key here is to sell products that are unique at reasonable prices. Start with a few products and then once your store is popular, just add products to your store

            If you want to start an online store, you probably already have an idea for a product that you will be selling. Consider the shipment costs and also if you are going to sell a wide variety of products or do you plan to specialize by selling books or t-shirts? Don't just jump into selling a certain product line until you've looked at the websites you'll be competing with. Focus on the area you'll be marketing your products to and then check the other competitors available in that market.

              We started with a online store of bedsheets. In the beginning we got just few requests however later we started offering blankets, towels and other household stuff where the demand started increasing. We paid heavy shipment charges and then later decided to open up a local store in our own area. The site is still up and we still get some random requests for bulk orders. We didn't really consider a lot of factors before starting the online store. Shipment, area to focus, what to keep and what not to keep, etc. It is better to plan carefully and get the complete information of the market place you'll be selling to.

                  Similar to how you have a physical store in a real world, you have an eStore for the Internet World. So, ideally you must ensure that the eStore is updated with the products with its complete description. Though even if you fail to consider certain aspects of it in the beginning, you can anyways do it now.
