Post id in the url or not

I am creating a new site (PHP & MySQL) but I can't make a decision that whether to include the post ID in the URL or not. There are many websites which utilize this and some other websites which don't. For example, my URL structure for posts will be like the following with post ID:

http://www.sitename.com/post-id/cate...ame/post-name/

Ex:
http://www.sitename.com/210/web-desi...rends-in-2013/

or without post ID

http://www.sitename.com/category-name/post-name/

Ex:
http://www.sitename.com/web-design/w...rends-in-2013/

I would recommend you to go for the category option, you can insert your keywords in the category name. Having keyword in url structure is beneficial from SEO perspective. So, don't miss out on such easy parameters which you can easily fulfill.

I don't think having a post id. in the url would be of any use from any perspective, it'd only make the url lengthy. Having category name and then the post name should be an ideal way to look at it.
