  • Trusting WebHosting Review website ?

Do you really trust any WebHosting Review Websites ? I don't think they are much reliable and honest. Please be open with your opinion.

In fact some are reliable and honest. Most of the sites which just share the reviews (copy/paste from other sites) are not reliable at all. They are just promoting the Affiliate links. Check out the review sites which has user reviews. They are most genuine review sites IMO.

Review sites are far from an ideal solution, the best way I have found for vetting a web hosting provider is to read through their support forum to see how often and what users of the service are complaining about.

Also asking a customer service dept some awkward questions about the TOS also never fails elicit some interesting responces.

Personally i avoid such review websites since such review sites can be manipulated
rather check reviews for your preferred webhost on webhosting forums like WHT, FWS or DP where you will get honest feedback... also check quality of support and response time by sending an email for some presales questions.

Well I think you should not trust website reviews. What I prefer is rather testing the host personally for a month. Most of them generally provide a 30 days money back guarantee as well.

I have seen some websites that allow any user to post reviews about hosting companies, they don't need users to create a login with them.. How would people ever trust such reviews.. I think a review site should only allow registered users to post reviews and these sites should investigate before approving them.

Ofcourse, it is the Admin's responsibility to investigate, trace the IP for website if it belongs to the reviewed host or not and only then approve a comment. This can help people to find a genuine reviews site.

I don't think a admin will ever take those pains of tracking each IP and investigating if it was a genuine review or not. I think it is good to have user logins. Also, they should provide a genuine domain name for people to investigate.

You visit the website (Link Removed) which has high standards for marketing. To keep proffessional email account it is the best choice. And in hosting side lot of privilages like dedicated server, virtual dedicated server host,so on.This is one of the trusting site out of my experience.

I don't tend to put all my faith in one such site. But if numerous people on numerous sites are saying the same thing then I usually give some credit to them. After all, if lots of people in lots of different places are saying the same thing then they can't all be wrong. No matter what you read on sites such as these it is always a good idea to investigate the company yourself, read their testimonials, look at their website, chat with the sales team and ultimately listen to your instinct .

Most of the review websites are paid for the reviews posted and hence it's very difficult to trust them. Therefore, one should look forward to the hosting provider and check the features and details with the kind of support offered and then take a decision. If there is a money back guarantee available, customer can take the advantage of it.
