  • Who do you think will win 20/twenty world cup?

Indeed it should be a very exciting tournament and I don't think it will be nothing short of amazing! So the world cup cricket 20/twenty will start tomorrow, will anyone here watch any match? Are there any cricket fans here or I'm I the only one here? If not who do you think will win the world cup 20/20? Most people has Australia as their favourites but this is a shorter form of the game and it is definately much more unpreditictable, so I believe any one of the top teams will win this thing. But you know me being a Jamaican and all, I fully support the West Indies team.

What's opinion on this? Who do you think will win?

I think this would be too soon to say this and it is just starting today! But I think it could be Australia or South Africa!
Everything is important which is beyond my knowledge!

20-20 is the game of hard hitting batsmen and every team has equal chance of winning the game. Let's hope England performs well in this form of cricket too.

Oh, i'm not into cricket that much. I though it meant the year 2020. I'm more of a golf person myself.

Well the windies have started great especially Gayle. If SA can get a win against them (doubtful) then they may give the Aussies a game in the final i reckon.
It is hard to predict though as it is basically a novelty cricket game and anyone can post a great score or bowl poorly with only 20 overs per game.

I can't believe what i'm watching, the Windies have blown it. Shocking bowling and fielding when they had the game 'in the bag'.

                      21 wides alone... unreal

I think modern cricket would be 20 - 20 in future. As they started 50 - 50 one dayers which now seems to be quite boring to loose whole day so now the time has come to switch to 20 - 20.

Giving 3 - 4 hours for this game on a weekend should not be a problem for most of the cricket lovers.

I don't agree, 20-20 isn't cricket, more like baseball. The whole piont of cricket is to bowl the other team out and score more runs than the opposition, that's what cricket is.
I agree 20-20 is an exciting game to watch but it's just about smashing the ball and if you're out then another batsman steps in. At least with ODI's you have to be careful batting as the whole team could be out with overs to spare.

I would however like to see test matches play to the finish, maybe one innings would be better.

Watching some Sport for 5 days in a row is quite difficult this days. At least people like you and me cannot manage to do that.

We just read / listen related news and thats it. I don't recall if I had seen any of the test matches for 5 days.

Last time I had seen cricket for whole day was 2003 Cricket World Cup. Things changed for me and priorities as well but not sure what others think.

yes that is true for me also. I do manage to listen to radio 5 to keep up with the score most match days and watch it at weekends, but mainly have to rely on late night highlights
