Addon Domains allow you to host multiple domain names on separate folders in your whUK Shared Web Hosting account. While it doesn’t mean Reseller Web Hosting isn’t necessary, it means if you’re on a Shared Web Hosting package, you can host multiple domains on the same account without needing to buy separate Shared Web Hosting packages or buy Reseller Web Hosting, in this case.
When creating an Addon Domain, you specify the folder in which is reserved for the domain name, as well as the FTP username, so you can upload files and folders to the specific folder reserved for the Addon Domain, as shown below.
Limits of Addon Domains
While you can in theory give web space to a friend or family member by adding their domain name as an addon domain (and also through the creation of Sub Domains through cPanel), it is not recommended for businesses or if you’re selling web hosting space to your customers. In this case, we’d recommend whUK Reseller Hosting or whUK Linux VPS Hosting.
