Ans: When it comes to security within the data center premises, Web Hosting UK never allow anyone to enter Data Center area without a passport and letter of permission from main contact person dealing from customer side. Technical staff from customer side is allowed to connect to the dedicated servers through KVM session only and no direct physical contact with the dedicated server is permitted under normal circumstances.

With regards to security of individual VPS or Semi Dedicated servers, the hardware node is our responsibility, however securing individual VPS or Semi-Dedicated server is the customer’s responsibility. Once we have sent the login details, we do not have direct control over the kind of usage which happens. Do you support cURL?

Yes we do provide support for cURL through the command line and as a php compiled-in option. cURL is a command line tool for transferring files with URL syntax. It is used to automate unattended file transfers or sequences of operations. You can use CURL to connect to an HTTP or HTTPS site from your web hosting account.

For example: You can use CURL to connect to a site with an RSS feed or to authorize.net’s HTTPS payment processing gateway.

Q. What will happen if I use the complete allocated web space ?

Ans: Your website will continue to work even if you reach the limit of your disk space quota.

Cpanel will send automated email notifications once you reach disk quota limits. If you ignore those notifications your website will continue to work but incoming emails will get bounced and no new records will be added to your database.

Only solution to this is to upgrade to next web hosting higher plan for getting more disk space.

Q. Can I have separate control panel for each of my website ? Do you have any hosting plan which I can use in this case ?

You can setup unlimited accounts with individual control panel access under reseller, VPS and semi-dedicated web hosting plans. You will need to choose cpanel/WHM license at the time of ordering VPS or Semi-Dedicated to activate WHM. WHM allows you to add unlimited number of accounts and hence you can have multiple sites with their own control panel.

Q: Is there any limit on the number of scripts allowed to install for a domain ?

Ans: There is NO such limit, you can install as many scripts as you want for your domain.

The only thing necessary is that your scripts should be quite genuine and it shouldn’t overload the server.
