WHM Control panel is the master control panel via which you can manage your entire Reseller account. You can add/delete clients and also change/modify their details at any point of time. You can even allocate more resources or decrease the resources allocated to a hosting account at any point of time.

How to add a account via WHM

Login into your WHM control panel, you will get a main screen as seen below (Image 1). After that click onto “Account Functions”

Once you click onto “Account Functions”, you will get the below window (Image 2)

You need to click onto “Create a new account” option. After that you can fill all the required information. In this way you can add a new account in your Reseller package via your WHM panel.

How to terminate a account via WHM.

Login into your WHM control panel, you will get the main screen as shown in image 1. After that click onto “Account Functions”. Once you click onto “Account Functions”, you will get a window as per image 2.

You will see a option of “Terminate a Account”. So you can select a domain name which you wish to terminate and than click on the “Terminate” option below it to terminate that account.

How to edit the details for a specific account

Login into your WHM control panel, you will get the main screen as shown in image 1. After that click onto “Account Functions”. Once you click onto “Account Functions”, you will get a window as per image 2.

You will see a option of “Modify an account”. You can click on it and then select domain name which you wish to modify. Click on the “Modify” option and modify the details of that account.

How to manage the bandwidth assigned to a particular account.

Login into your WHM control panel, you will get the main screen as shown in image 1. After that click onto “Account Functions”. Once you click onto “Account Functions”, you will get a window as per image 2.

You will see a option of “Limit bandwidth usage”. You can click on it and then select domain name on which you wish to set some specific amount of bandwidth. Once that is done, you can enter a particular amount of bandwidth which you wish to allocate, so that that limit gets applied for that account.

How to increase the assigned disk quote of a particular account.

Login into your WHM control panel, you will get the main screen as shown in image 1. After that click onto “Account Functions”. Once you click onto “Account Functions”, you will get a window as per image 2.

You will see a option of “Quota Modification”. You can click on it and then select domain name on which you wish to allocate some specific amount of disk space. Once that is done, you can enter a particular amount of disk space which you wish to allocate, so that that limit gets applied for that account.

You will need to set these on server side and with your Domain Registrar (the one who registered the domain for you). Please be advised registering nameservers is different than setting them on server and further assigning them to a domain name.

Let’s see the registrar part first: You will receive two IP’s from your hosting company when you ordered for a reseller hosting plan from them

For eg: 123.123.12.12 & 123.123.12.13

You now provide these IP’s to your registrar and request them to register the nameservers with these IP’s.

ns1.yourdomain.com  123.123.12.12
ns2.yourdomain.com 123.123.12.13

(Please make sure you replace yourdomain.com with your actual domain name.)

If you are setting up nameservers for a domain that was purchased as a part of your Hosting Plan from us (Webhosting.uk.com), you will simply need to submit a help desk ticket with the Billing Dept. and have them register your nameservers.

Next, the server side changes.
Your host will help you with this part. They will first set an ‘A’ record for these nameservers using the IP’s and next add these nameservers in the “Reseller Center” so all your future accounts that you create from the reseller account are created using your private name servers.

You have now registered and set the nameservers on the server you have your reseller account set.

The Final Step: Pointing your domain to these nameservers

The final step is to start using the nameservers by pointing your domain to the private nameservers.
You can login to your registrar account or contact your registrar and have them change/set the nameservers to these private nameservers that you registered as:

ns1.yourdomain.com
ns2.yourdomain.com

Each of your customer will need to follow the above step of Pointing the domain to your private nameservers. Only then their domain resolves from the server you are on.

Please note that when you change a domain’s nameservers, the domain name might temporarily stop working for few hours, while it propagates throughout the internet with the new nameservers you just made it use.

When you login to webmail, it might show you an error like above. To correct the issue it is necessary to increase the defined disk quota of the user account. Make sure the email account and the cPanel account as a whole have sufficient space. However, there are times you might see an error even if the accounts are under the limits. In that case, try the below solution:

root@server[#] cd /var/cpanel/overquota
root@server [/var/cpanel/overquota]# mv username username-bak

Make sure you replace the username with the actual cPanel username.

The error should disappear when you login to Webmail the next time.

1) Login into your control panel and refer the Error log section.

2) Follow this path :- RAILS_APP/log/

Genrally you will get more appropriate information if you refer rails log directory. There are different files which are stored in there and it will depend upon the mode that you selected while you logged in. While using FastCGI wrapper, fastcgi.crash.log is needed. Each reseller server has it’s own DNS so you’ll need to refer to your welcome email for the nameserver information. For ns1.yourdomain.com the ip would be the ip listed in your welcome email. For ns2.yourdomain.com the ip would the same accept change the last number in the ip to be one digit higher. Example: If the ip listed in your welcome email was 92.48.74.22 your ns2.domain.com name servers ip would be 92.48.74.23
