Q. Are backups included for shared and reseller hosting?

Ans: WebHosting.UK.com backs up each system every day. The backups are available for complete system failure only. Customers requesting file restores will be charged extra to retrieve data. We will soon be offering FTP backup space allowing you to control your own data retention schedules.

Q. As a reseller how do I activate and manage my clients’ account ?

Ans: After you sign up for a Reseller account, you will receive access to special area in your control panel (WHM) which allows you to manage all your accounts. You can login into your WHM using your login and password. After entering the WHM interface, you can create accounts by clicking on the “create an account” icon.

Q. If I purchase a reseller account, how would the customer support be handled for my customers?

Ans: You are responsible for supporting and billing your customers while we support and bill you. We provide you with an extensive Online Manual that you are free to incorporate into your own website. If you are unable to answer a client question, you can then forward the request to us, and we will respond directly to you. This way, we never contact your client directly, and your status as a reseller remains confidential.

Q. Do you offer both Linux and Windows based server hosting?

Ans: Yes, we offer both Linux and Windows server hosting however compared to Linux servers there are limited features on the windows server. Windows servers is mostly preferred by those who need ASP, ASP.NET, MSSQL, MS ACCESS, ODBC etc.

Q. How will I know when the domains are up for renewal? Also as I would be taking over the hosting finances, how will I know when the domains are up for renewal, will you inform me?

Ans : Yes, definitely you will be intimated regarding the renewal dates of all the domains that are being registered with us. We have a billing software that auto generates the renewal reminder emails well in advance so that you will get sufficient time to renew the domain as well as your hosting package.

Q. Account Upgrades. Is there any fee for extra disk space and monthly bandwidth?

Ans : If you want to increase your disk space or monthly bandwidth quota then you will need to upgrade to the next higher plan and the difference will be charged to you.

We don’t provide additional disk space or bandwidth with any of our shared, reseller, vps or semi-dedicated hosting plans.

For ex: If you are using the higher shared hosting package and you need extra disk space or bandwidth then you will have to upgrade to either reseller hosting or vps hosting or semi dedicated or Dedicated Server whichever is suitable for your need.

Do you offer reseller hosting packages? If so - how many domains can I host, can you setup private name servers?

Ans: We offer reseller hosting services with end user support. We offer both Linux cPanel as well as windows reseller hosting packages. You can host unlimited domains on our Linux cpanel reseller and windows reseller hosting account as long as you are having enough disk space available. We do setup private nameservers for the reseller plans if you wish to.

Q: What is the geographical location of your shared metered-servers ?

Ans: Our Servers are located in world-class Blue Square Datacenter based in Maidenhead which is 25 Miles West of London, UK. Our network transit connections are currently to Level 3, Tiscali, and Deutsche Telekom. We also peer with approximately 150 ISPs at the peering points LINX, XChangePoint, and LoNAP.
