Anyone using DNP and .NET?
More specifically, do you use the FileUpload component? In future there's a good chance you will be stuffed. You have a choice: (a) use the absolute path (we're supposed to know what it is? And if they move IIS somewhere else tomorrow?) (b) load all your files into root (c) move to Plesk.
It's not possible to upload files to folders with slashes in them any more, as I've just found out. So, profile pix? Forget it. Product pix? Forget it. Or move. Or dump them all in root.
Sure, move to Plesk and lose all the email in 20 company mail accounts.
My questions. Does anyone know of any other hosting outfit who denies slashes in pathnames? Does anyone know of any other hosting outfit who would dare say that you cannot use an 'out of the box' Microsoft component as it is meant to be used?
What next?
Cheers
Ian
