Hi Ian,
Yes, all the necessary components will be available on the VPS too. We can have this planned on the coming weekend (night time) when the traffic would be least & it won't take much time to migrate the data, but the DNS switch will be done during the weekend only to avoid any downtime.
The plan would be this:
1) VPS will be setup now.
2) Data will be copied across along with the DBs on Saturday.
3) You'll check everything & once its found to be alright, switch the DNS.
4) We'll backup & restore the DB if it contains any updated data if required..
