Default Dedicated server hosting for online store

I am considering hosting on a dedicated server, I have an online shopping website; is hosting dedicated servers the right option for me?

In my opinion, dedicated hosting would surely be a profitable option as it offers a magnitude of power customization capacity at an affordable price. A dedicated server bypasses time delays and possible expenses incurred from these. Hosting on a dedicated server will enable you to provide instant support to your own clients whenever required. You online shopping website will surely benefit from the dedicated server hosting plan. However I can provide you with a better solution if you can elaborate about the hosting configurations you are looking for.

Thanks Rachael. I am looking for a 5000 GB bandwidth, a good processor that offers me the best CPU speed and I use the Linux operating system; can that be incorporated in this dedicated server hosting plan as well?

As per your specifications, you can opt for the WHUK-Q8300 dedicated server hosting plan. Intel Core 2 Quad Core processor will be offered with this plan and you get the option of using either the Linux or Windows operating system.

You may consider one of the Dual Core processor, you will get the option to select the OS, additional bandwidth & RAM, control panel etc. You can configure the server as per your requirement. You can also upgrade to the higher processor later if required. In case of server updated, we will take care of data migration from the old server to the new server.

Depends on how much traffic you think you are likely to get, if its absolutely loads! Then yes a dedicated server will be good for your eCommerce site. However if you are in a niche market without much traffic a shared server will suffice.

Earlier the traffic on my online store was manageable. I have launched some new schemes and the per day traffic has increased substantially. Now there are times when the processing speed of my website gets reduced; therefore I am looking for a dedicated server that will ensure the smooth functioning of my website. Sometimes many people are accessing the billing system and shopping cart at the same time, therefore the speed of such transactions is reduced. Can you suggest me something accordingly?

A dedicated server is a computer in a network reserved or dedicated for serving a specific need. For example, a network may require that one computer be set aside to manage communications between all the other computers. A dedicated server could also be a computer that manages printer resources. In the Web or application hosting business, a dedicated server is a type of Internet hosting in which the client rents an entire server not shared with anyone. This is more flexible than shared hosting. You are not sharing the system resources such as processor power, memory and disk space with other users on the same server. You do not run the risk of the server being slowed down, swamped with traffic, or crashed by another site on a shared server. As nobody else has access to the server you can be sure of having a much greater degree of security. If you need to install special software or configure the server to your own particular needs then often a dedicated server is the solution. Run your own custom firewall to enforce your own access control policy. Your dedicated server has its own unique IP address. More memory, disk space or extra processors can be added as the need arises. You can take dedicated server hosting service from an experienced cloud computing and application hosting service provider. You will not be facing any issues regarding data and network security. You will get 24 by 7 technical support and customer care services.
