Default The Fastest Web Server ?

Hi,

I am always curious to know what kind of server work faster. There are various server types eg :- Apache, Litespeed, Zeus, and so on. Guys do any one have an idea which one of them is the fastest?

The server that you choose, also depends on your applications. If you are using a static content most of the benchmarks display systems like nginx or lighttpd to be faster, however if complex applications are being shared Apache or litespeed is the appropriate server. More often people look for the fastest server available for their website. It is a fact that with different traffic levels, the server choice is not really very important. Therefore the choice of server depends on various factors.

When ever we talk about the webserver Apache or Litespeed. My personal pick would be always Apache.

I would prefer Litespeed as it is much faster than Apache and it increases the PHP performance by 50%. It has the ability to recover from service failure right away therefore no data is lost. It also supports various content management applications, thus WordPress Hosting UK and Joomla Hosting UK becomes much easier. Moreover the security features offered by Litespeed are also perfect; it offers strict HTTP request validation and also prevents system overloading.

There are various advantages of hosting on Apache server. It supports and implements the latest protocols and provides with a wide range of features. Moreover it is a constantly evolving application; therefore it is possible to get a custom module. Apache is optimized for the best performance; it is created for ensuring maximum speed and it also consumes less resources. Therefore my choice would be Apache server.
