Hello,
This may or may not be a stupid thing to think about, but here's my dilemma. I need a
Windows server to host a game since the engine currently only supports Windows, but when it comes to webhosting, I much much prefer cPanel over any other control panel, heck, I probably only have 30 minutes experience with plesk and I can't get used to it at all.
Would it be possible to do something like install a CentOS virtual machine inside Windows and allocate a certain amount of resources to this virtual machine, much like how the
VPS Hosting packages work (I currently have one)?
If it's possible, what would the pros and cons be, what would the effect be on the overall system resources, is there any cost implications of doing this? Would WHUK provide the cPanel license? Any other additional information would be highly appreciated.
Costing really is a major thing for me, so even shedding £10 by doing this, providing the justification for it is satisfactory, I would go for it.
Many thanks.
