Hello Mark,

Can you please let us know exactly what registry errors you are facing ?
Several free tools are available to safely clean and repair your Windows registry, such tools allow you to optimize the registry and maintain it in perfect condition. Make sure you download these tools from recommended web sites only as incorrect registry editing may create serious issues. You need to take complete backup of your registry before making any changes so that you can restore it in case if anything goes wrong.

The registry is the Brain of Windows OS, so if anything goes wrong with it, problems keep on popping up all the time, it usually gets much more annoying when such things happen unknowingly.

Rightly said, there are several tools available to fix the registry errors, if they do their job well [mostly 60% do it right], it's well n good.

But if they fail, a user data backup & clean OS reinstall is most recommended [& time saving too against hunting for a proper registry cleaner].

Hi !
I think you should be more specific with your problem.
Your question is incomplete. Please tell more about the windows registry you want to fix.
Well, you can simply goto>> start>> run >> and type : regedit to see all the registries of windows.
Hope what i have written is of some help to you.

Regards
Walter Burke

I would never recommend a registry cleaner, 90% of them out there will corrupt your registry, making your machine unable to boot the OS.

It's best to manually resolve the errors by using Google.

You should not play with registry values if you are not aware of it's importance else you may face many issues. There are many applications for managing registry like 'Clean My PC Registry', 'CCleaner' etc..
Make sure you take backup of registry as Windows supports several methods to back up and restore the registry.

PS : System Restore can back up the registry and restore it as long as Windows is bootable, or from the Windows Recovery Environment starting with Windows Vista.

Yeh - reformat and start again
The best software I found was not much - they all CLAIM they do everything but the reality is they seldom can (in my opinion)
If you have a corrupted system then it might be easier just to restart again, and this time create a disc image as you go

On our forum (don't panic WHUK it's not selling anything) you can see how to reinstall Windows XP or Windows Vista if you need a hand. Just realised I have not done a Vista helping hand - stupid me
