Default Difference between static and dynamic website

What is the main difference between static and dynamic websites and is how does it matter the hosting plan to be selected?

Static websites are the websites which are developed using simple templates or have a very basic design. These websites can be developed within a short period of time and are generally never attractive. When it comes to Dynamic websites, these websites are developed in a proper manner and have a very good design. These websites attract visitors and can be very beneficial in the long run.

When it comes to choosing a hosting plan, you will be able to choose any hosting plan for both the kind of websites. Dynamic websites generally require more space and bandwidth and hence disk space and bandwidth requirements should be finalized before choosing a hosting plan.

I don't think so
Website design has nothing to do with type of website ( Static/Dynamic )
You may get many static websites which have very attractive design and clean layout.

A dynamic site is one that you constantly update. Like a blog where you add information more often. A static site is one that has pages that are never updated like a company's website that has the company profile that will never change. It is always the way it is.

The dynamic websites are driven by the database; this means that the content and layout is stored separately. When the user requests a web page, the content and layout are merged together first and then displayed; however this does not happen with a static website. In a static website, the layout/template and content is merged. In a dynamic website your text and images are fed and updated from a database or Content Management System (CMS) and when this is done, the website content is also updated therefore a dynamic website provides with flexibility and functionality of your website.

I never mentioned that it's the same case always. I gave a general description about the difference between them. Rachael has given the proper description about the difference. Dynamic websites are hugely dependent on databases, whereas, static websites have a fixed layout.
