Default Should I be a reseller?

I'm a web designer. I'm considering becoming a hosting reseller. But I have to act fact, which means I have to think fast.

Can anyone give me some suggestions on a hosting reseller service? I'm considering ..... because they seem affordable. However, I read that they are more of an affiliate program rather than a reseller. I am not sure I understand what that means!

I've read some good things about ... I don't think I can afford them right now.

I might be designing 3 websites for a client soon. I want to try to get them to agree to me hosting them. I don't have experience hosting websites so I will need technical support.

Any suggestions on how much I should charge for hosting websites?

Thanks

Default hi

There are a lot of reseller hosting providers in the world. Some are really good companies which provide best technical support to clients too.
As you are web designer, I think one should must concentrate on his profession and become The King of it. You can earn money by getting an affiliate program rather than a reseller package.

As you are already on a safer side with the idea of running hosting for side income or you are going to depend mostly on your web designing clients.
I think they are coming to you not because you provide hosting but because you seems attractive as a designer to them. So it doesn't matter you chose a hosting provider they both satisfies your requirement as mainly your clients will be needing low to moderate resource intensive sites.

If you are a Web Designer, then I would suggest you to opt for a Reseller package rather than register for our Affiliate program. As a Designer you might be having many clients who are looking for a Hosting provider after they get their website designed from you. If you start Hosting services as well, you can easily convert those clients and sell them your hosting packages. If they are impressed with your Designing work, they will certainly opt for your hosting services. In this way you can excel in Hosting services as well. Here you do not need to rely on some fixed amount of commission that you will get after a client orders a package using your Affiliate link. In Reseller hosting plans, you are free to design your custom packages and sell them at whatever prices you want. So you can decide your profit margins and set the prices accordingly. The below article also might help you.

Yeah, a reseller hosting would be the best option if you want to get into website hosting venture. If you can convince your clients to use your hosting as an addon service by offering them some added benefit then certainly you would be earning good revenue even from reselling hosting packages.
Go with webhost who provides you managed hosting services with 24/7 support.
All the Best !

Yes you should become a reseller! If you are already in the field, then why not earn some extra money by also offering hosting! It is basically guaranteed money, and why not have that when you are a free lance designer and are not entirely sure about your financial outcome!
