IP knowledge and issues

Hi All,

I am new to this forum and have very less knowledge about IP addresses. I have 3 website that are having IP
74.86.73.196
74.86.239.2
74.86.73.198
I want to know what 74.86. means here,,

Moreover my main question is that my website ranking got down last month.. Can it be due to same kind of IP address, Can this be an issue?

There are hundreds of domains that use the same IP address. A shared server is shared by many users and most of the hosting accounts prefer to use the same IP. That does not mean it will spoil the ranking of the website. Shared hosting has been successful from years and it does not effect the ranking of website.

Rankings keep on fluctuating every month. So its better if you keep on optimizing your website and try to increase the number of back links This will surely help in increasing your rankings.

That is right I agree you should keep optimizing your website as. And yes many people use the shared services and I have seen many domains using shared server for their hosting package and then having a good ranking. I do not think it is the IP that is causing the issue.
