Default How to Estimate the Strength of Your Site?

How do you know when your site is not for shared server? This is not the same question like those "what is the difference between shared and dedicated...". I want to save myself the trouble of changing the server later. I want to know how to estimate whether the site is dedicated material even before I publish it. What are your opinions?

What type of website is it? Are you expecting it to get popular fast?

If this is a start up site and you know it will take some time to earn traffic then a shared plan is what you will need. But if you know the website will get high traffic soon then you need your own server.

If you are wondering in what circumstances you should opt for a dedicated hosting solution or a shared hosting solution it all depends on factors like websites traffic, customized requirements, applications to be used, control on server, etc. Both plans are suitable depending on what your website requirements are.

You know shared plan is not an ideal solution when the web site has high traffic, it needs to use custom application or script, you need full control on your server. Shared servers also have limits like sending email per hour, some php modules are disabled due to security. In these cases people prefer using vps or their own servers.
