Though cPanel and Plesk and most common and widely use control panel my first preference will be cPanel control panel, as cPanel is more user friendly and provides maximum features for end level users as well.

I would also prefer cPanel over Plesk as cPanel is very much user friendly and one can easily manage their Websites.

I would also prefer cPanel website hosting because there are plenty of features .The most important stuff i like about is one click feature for multiple application installation.

As Plesk is a cross platform control panel, it enables the web hosting companies to run the same control panel on both the panels. This in turn ensures that the technicians need minimum amount of training as they have to work out the operations of a single control panel. Thereby, Plesk helps the web hosting company to save both its time and money.

I would pick, rather say, I picked cPanel

It is the best control panel available in the market. If in future, it is available with Windows Server, I would prefer to get Windows Server with cPanel

Answered this question millions of times now

cpanel is the best control panel when it comes to Linux and Plesk for Windows based hosting.

Totally agree.. The Linux/Windows and cpanel /Plesk war continues all the time. people generally prefer cpanel over plesk when they start with a hosting plan. cpanel is easy to use and quite easy to understand

Choosing a control panel depends upon the Hosting plan you choose. Generally Plesk and DotNetPanel are offered along with Windows Hosting plans and cPanel with Linux Hosting plans. Different control panels have there own importance. But it is said that cPanel is a very user friendly control panel when compared to other control panels available in market. Its a very fast control panel and has a very simple user interface, so even a new user can use it easily.

Parallels Plesk Panel or just Plesk in short is known as one of the most multi-functional Control Panels on the planet. It goes far beyond the capabilities of the regular web-based tools for managing the server resources your sites need to exist. Plesk is a complete multi-level hosting platform Control Panel, giving the server administrator a wide range of graphic-interface options to set up and maintain a whole hosting business serving the end customer. It is just as good for configuring shared hosting solutions as it is for setting up virtual and dedicated servers. The operating systems supporting Plesk include Fedora, Red Hat, Debian, FreeBSD, SuSE, CentOS, Ubuntu, and Windows.

CPanel is a fully featured web-based control panel that allows you to manage your domain through a web interface. The idea is to transfer as much of the control and responsibility of managing your web site to you. You have the ability to manage all aspects of e-mail, files, backup, FTP, CGI scripts, and web site statistics.

For now, I will go for cPanel because I am used to it. Transferring to plesk need practice first so that I would know how it works.

Though we have to pay for cPanel, I would say it is the best control panel for a new user.
